School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture

Architecture
Students have the opportunity apply to travel abroad during the spring semester of their third year. We currently take groups of students to study in Rome, Italy for 15 weeks, and Scandinavia for 10 weeks.

Environmental Design
The program runs a 5 week summer trip to Denmark. This experience allows students to see international connections between local and global environmental design principles and actions.

Landscape Architecture
In the past five years students have had the opportunity to travel to China, the Galapagos Islands and South America through different abroad programs within the major.
McWhorter School of Building Science
Opportunities for learning in traveling classroom settings in China, Europe and Italy during the summer semester.
Week-long service learning trips to Ecuador.
Multiple international student competition opportunities.
Semester-long student exchanges and service learning programs.
School of Industrial and Graphic Design

Graphic Design
Graphic Design students have the opportunity to travel to Ireland for a one week trip over the Spring Break of their junior or senior year.

Industrial Design
Industrial Design students have to opportunity to study through a 10 week traveling trip through Ireland, Scotland, England, and Italy in the spring semester of their 2nd year, and a 9 week summer program in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Student Exchanges
A select number of CADC professional students have the unique opportunity to participate in an exchange program for one or two semesters with a partner university abroad. Students will earn direct credit for coursework completed.
Dual Degree Agreements
(undergraduate degree at home institution + advanced degree at Auburn)
The CADC dual degree agreements provide opportunities for international students to engage in coursework at Auburn University and earn credits toward the degree program(s) at their home institution.
Visiting Scholars
Scholars from countries outside the United States often visit the CADC to explore research and teaching opportunities. Visiting scholars provide an outstanding opportunity for students and faculty to work across disciplines, cultures and communities. Collaborative research can be fostered, and innovative educational practices can be shared.
