Future Students

Welcome to the College of Architecture, Design and Construction, affectionately known as the CADC!

Success in the CADC takes creativity and passion—two key traits that serve to both inspire and to motivate. Our curricula are challenging but rewarding. Our nationally ranked and recognized programs are home to approximately 1,800 undergraduate students. At the heart of CADC’s teaching is respect for individuals and the places and environments our student will design and build. We look forward to sharing our world with you and your family.

K-12 Workshops

The CADC hosts middle school and high school groups for on-campus visits to explore fields related to Architecture, Design or Construction through workshop experiences. We work with teachers to create a field trip itinerary that fits within their class curriculum, including at least one workshop experience, an on campus lunch paid for by the CADC, and an opportunity to see college facilities both in Auburn on campus facilities and in our Auburn in Birmingham Building.

Workshop experiences provide students with an idea of how we approach projects and problem solving in our majors. Based on the preference of the teacher, we can complete workshops in the fields of Architecture, Building Science, Environmental Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design or Landscape Architecture.

High School and Middle School teachers and administrators: To learn more and schedule a workshop experience for a group of students email our Recruitment and Scholarship Manager, Katherine Buck Chastain at kmb0023@auburn.edu.
