Graphic Design Students Receive Certificates of Excellence from GDUSA
Two Graphic Design majors from the School of Industrial + Graphic Design, Will Givens and Laura Hammonds, have each been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from the highly competitive Graphic Design USA American Package Design Awards. Will Given’s Mississippi Chocolate Co. project from his sophomore-level Intro to Design course taught by Professor Courtney Windham was selected alongside Laura Hammond’s Pip Dice branding and packaging project from her junior level Graphic Design I course taught by Professor Kelly Bryant. The competition honors outstanding work in the area of package design and was open to the entire graphic design community including design firms, ad agencies, corporations, non-profits, institutions, freelancers and students. With more than 10,000 entries only a highly selective 15 percent were recognized with a Certificate of Excellence.
