APLA Faculty Named Winners in AIA Chicago’s Design Excellence Awards
AIA Chicago has announced Xavier Vendrell and Mary English as award winners in the XS (extra small) category of AIA Chicago’s Design Excellence Awards.
Vendrell and English are both faculty members in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture as well as practicing architects in Chicago. Their entry, “Susan’s House,” was designed for a client in the historic neighborhood of Lavaca in San Antonio, Texas.
Each year, AIA Chicago honors the outstanding work of its members and their firms and highlight members’ contributions to designing equitable and sustainable spaces. AIA Chicago is the second largest local chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
