According to a Greek proverb, a society grows when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.
Your philanthropic gifts empower the CADC to provide exceptional student experiences now, and ensure future generations of architecture, design and construction students will benefit from an Auburn education.
How to Make a Difference
Scholarships bring high-ability students to our top ranked programs and ensure the best and brightest have access to our programs regardless of financial ability. A named endowed scholarship creates a permanent legacy for the donor and provides a perpetual source of scholarship funding for the school or program of the donor’s choosing. Endowed chairs and professorships enable Auburn University to recruit and retain outstanding faculty members. Appointees to endowed positions exhibit a record of distinguished academic and/or professional work. View more information on endowed chairs and professorships here.
Establish the margin of excellence for our student programs and studios. From our winning Student Competition Team program in the McWhorter School of Building Science to the nationally-esteemed studios of our School of Industrial and Graphic Design, our corporate partners are essential to the successes of these programs. Annual giving can be designated at the college level or for a specific school or program. Circle of Excellence
The Circle of Excellence is a family of alumni and friends whose unrestricted annual gifts enable the College of Architecture, Design and Construction to address immediate priorities and important investments. Circle members elevate the reputation of our college’s programs and advance our college’s academic prestige by serving as a valuable source of strategic support.
Your Circle of Excellence donation provides: opportunity scholarships for high-achieving incoming freshmen, branding initiatives that elevate our national and international profile, and career resources for CADC students and alumni.
Circle of Excellence members are recognized and invited to events, tailgates, and an annual reception. Members with five, 10, and 15 years of consecutive giving are recognized at the CADC awards banquet each fall and receive an exclusive commemorative keepsake with the Circle of Excellence insignia.
With the establishment of a curriculum in 1907, Auburn was one of the first universities to offer a degree in architecture. To honor CADC’s rich history and vast, impressive accomplishments, members of the 1907 Circle, the highest level of annual giving, provide gifts totaling $3,000 or more each year.
Members of the 1907 and Biggin Circles have the opportunity to lease season-long home football game parking spaces on an annual basis. Donors whose gifts are received by March 1 prior to each upcoming football season qualify. Parking is guaranteed for 1907 Circle donors who request by March 1.
In 1927, the architecture department became the School of Architecture and Applied Arts under the direction and leadership of its first dean, Frederick Biggin. Members of the Biggin Circle are recognized through gifts totaling $1,000.
