Ninth Annual Interior Architecture Exhibit

Elements of Interior Architecture I

“Look-With” is the ninth annual exhibition designed and constructed by Associate Professor Kevin Moore’s Elements of Interior Architecture class. To test the social and perceptual possibilities of interior architecture, students worked in teams to conceive and install frames that act as windows into a series of speculative interiors. Each individual project employs precise geometry, generative rules and surface effects to create an environment that cannot quite be captured in photographs. Social distancing guidelines indicate the room is occupied sporadically and only by one person at a time. As a result, the exhibition transforms the alcove of Dudley Hall into a room to enter—from the hall and courtyard—as a peculiar visual experience.
