BSCI Welcomes New Faculty Member Ben Marshall
Auburn’s McWhorter School of Building Science (BSCI) welcomes new Assistant Professor Ben Marshall!
Marshall holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and a master’s in Sustainable Design from The University of Texas at Austin as well as bachelor’s degrees in both architecture and mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University.
His research focuses on creating healthier and more comfortable indoor spaces in hot and humid climates through novel methods of dehumidification. He also investigates mold control methods in visible and concealed spaces.
Marshall will be teaching BSCI’s Construction Documents course as well as Construction Methods and Materials.
“I’m excited to join such a fantastic building science program in a well-respected college,” Marshall stated. “I love the process of buildings from design, construction and research, and I’m excited to share that passion with the students and make buildings better for the future.”
