BSCI to Engage Nashville Alumni at IAC Meeting
Auburn’s McWhorter School of Building Science (BSCI) is set to hold its next Industry Advisory Council (IAC) meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Hosted at Brasfield & Gorrie’s Nashville office and headed by BSCI School Head Richard Burt, the meeting will provide an update on the state of the program, offering insights into the latest developments within Auburn Building Science.
By leveraging recent graduates’ knowledge of both Auburn’s curriculum and industry challenges, IAC provides an opportunity for young alumni to engage with faculty, ensuring that course content reflects the rapidly changing landscape of the construction industry. Annual meetings in Birmingham and Atlanta provide consistent touchpoints with alumni closer to home, while those in and around Dallas–Fort Worth, Orlando and Nashville are able to engage with the School on a 2–3 year cycle.
“We have a growing number of alumni in Nashville, particularly recent alumni,” shared Burt. “It is important we keep them updated on what is going on in the School.”
