Architecture/Interior Architecture Student to Serve as CADC’s Spring Commencement Marshal
Chloe Buckner of Section, Alabama, has been selected as the student marshal for the College of Architecture, Design and Construction (CADC) at Auburn University’s spring 2024 commencement ceremony, scheduled for May 3–6, 2024.
Buckner will receive a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Interior Architecture. During her time at Auburn, she was a member of the CADC Ambassadors and the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS). She served as a teaching assistant for the foundation and summer design studio courses, which sparked her interest in a career in teaching.
Buckner plans to seek licensure and a career that involves both architecture and interior architecture. She hopes to earn a Master’s in architecture and teach in higher education.
“Architecture provides the opportunity to be creative while also having a positive effect on people and the built environment,” she shared.
Buckner cherishes her time at Auburn and recognizes the lasting impact her experience will have for years to come.
“The community and culture in CADC has been a highlight of my time at Auburn. I’ve had the honor to meet so many great faculty, leaders and alumni, and I know I’ve made lifelong friends.”
