Architecture/Interior Architecture Student to Serve as CADC’s Spring Commencement Marshal
Anna Graben of Palos Park, Illinois, has been selected as the student marshal for the College of Architecture, Design and Construction at Auburn University’s spring 2023 commencement ceremony, scheduled for May 5–8.
Graben will receive a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Interior Architecture with a minor in Sustainability. As an Auburn student, she was a five-year member of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS), completing stints as co-chair of the organization’s annual Pumpkin Carve event and as Chapter President. She has also participated in AIAS’ Freedom By Design, providing voluntary design-build services to the local community.
After graduation, Graben will move to Chicago to work at an architecture firm, focusing on interior spaces and renovations in the hospitality sector. She says that she is grateful for her time at Auburn and plans on keeping in touch with her professors. “I have forged great collaborations with some of the architecture faculty and can continue to count on them as mentors as I transition into the professional field,” Graben stated. “Thanks to Auburn, I have had the opportunity to travel and learn about exciting cities, hear from world-renowned speakers and engage with people from all different kinds of backgrounds.”
