Architecture Grad Named to Design Futures Emerging Leaders for 2013

Samuel “Jack” Basset, a 2008 graduate of the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture, has been named a Design Futures Council Emerging Leader for 2013. He is one of six professionals who is being recognized as representing the “future of design practice in terms of its broadening scope, service to society, sustainable design, and technological innovation.” Basset, who served in the AmeriCorps VISTA program in rural communities in Utah and is co-founder of the nonprofit, Epicenter, will receive a registration scholarship to the 12th annual Leadership Summit on Sustainable Design.
