BSCI Alumni Spotlight: Kathryn Crowley ’13

Kathryn Crowley, BSCI Alumna

Kathryn Crowley works as a superintendent at JE Dunn Construction in Tampa, Florida, managing teams in the field.

As a superintendent she oversees each project schedule, coordinating trade partners’ sequencing, ensuring quality and promoting safety onsite. Her area of expertise is Lean Construction management, which utilizes the Last Planner® System of Production Control and focuses on collaboration with project team managers, safety and efficiency.

Crowley is a 2013 graduate of Auburn’s McWhorter School of Building Science, where she was heavily involved in competition teams and leadership programs. She was also a finalist for Auburn University Miss Homecoming in her senior year, running on a platform of energy efficiency and sustainability. She volunteers her time with several organizations in the Tampa Bay area, including Habitat for Humanity and Ronald McDonald House, and is active in her local chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction. In her spare time she is an active boater, kayaker, camper and hiker on the National Florida Scenic Trail.
