CADC Announces Faculty Promotions for Fall 2025

The College of Architecture, Design and Construction (CADC) is proud to announce that the following faculty members have been appointed or promoted effective Fall 2025, in recognition of their hard work and dedication to the College.

In the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (APLA), Associate Architecture Chair Matt Hall and David Hill of Landscape Architecture received promotions from Associate Professor to Full Professor, and Mackenzie Stagg of Architecture was promoted from Assistant Research Professor to Associate Research Professor.

Additionally, three faculty members in the Architecture program received promotions from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor with tenure: Gorham Bird, Mary English and Jennifer Pindyck, who also teaches in the Interior Architecture program. Environmental Design faculty member Jennifer Smith was also promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor with tenure.

In the School of Industrial and Graphic Design (SIGD), Graphic Design Program Chair Robert Finkel was promoted from Associate Professor to Full Professor.

“Promotion and tenure represent a significant academic distinction, reflecting sustained excellence in teaching, research, creative work and service,” said Dawn Finley, CADC Dean and McWhorter Endowed Chair. “Cheers to our CADC faculty colleagues on this well-earned recognition and their continued contributions to the advancement of the college and their respective disciplines.”
