The College of Architecture, Design and Construction (CADC) is proud to announce that the following faculty members have been promoted effective Fall 2026, in recognition of their hard work and dedication to the College.

In the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (APLA), Associate Architecture Professor Il Kim was promoted to Full Professor, and Graduate Architecture Chair David Shanks was promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor with tenure.

Associate Professors Courtney Windham from the School of Industrial and Graphic Design (SIGD) and Wesley Collins from the McWhorter School of Building Science (BSCI) were promoted to Full Professor.

“Promotion and tenure mark a rigorous and deliberate evaluation of a faculty member’s full contribution—through teaching, research, creative work and service,” said Dawn Finley, CADC Dean and McWhorter Endowed Chair. “I’m proud to celebrate our CADC colleagues on this achievement, and for the quality, inquiry and craft they bring to advancing their disciplines and this college.”
