Capstone Showcase
Workshop II – Capstone is an advanced studio dedicated to structuring projects around student research interests, and in producing work which crafts, visualizes and illustrates new possibilities and combinatory logics. The course content touches on framing an argument, posing prototypical solutions and how one might engage with various “sites” (real, speculative, literary, borrowed, etc.). Workshop II – Capstone asks students to engage in the design process through research, conceptualization, iteration and evaluation; communicate design ideas, design solutions and problem-solving rationales through written, oral and visual narrative arguments; and analyze and reflect on one’s role and identity as citizens, consumers, decision makers and designers in a complex interconnected world.
