Spotlight: Natalie Hamlin, ENVD ’22

Natalie Hamlin is a senior in the Environmental Design program and will graduate with a minor in Studio Art and an emphasis in Global studies from Auburn University in 2022. Each academic pursuit conveys the framework of her beliefs; she is passionate about the design process, making things by hand, and intersecting with other cultures respectfully and compassionately. Recently a finalist in the 2021 ePortfolio competition sponsored by Auburn’s Office of University Writing, she was recognized by an interdisciplinary panel for a portfolio that showcased her skills while successfully documenting them for prospective employers. Natalie also received the college-level symposium poster award at the 2021 Auburn Research Student Symposium for her poster, The role of a built environment design solution to provide multi-systemic solutions for cultural issues in Auburn, Alabama, which on the experience of international students in Auburn and how to make the community a more welcoming and inclusive environment.
