Graphic Design Students Honored in Package Design Awards
Six students from Auburn’s School of Industrial and Graphic Design were recently honored in Graphic Design USA’s 2021 Package Design Awards. A leading industry magazine, Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) sponsors this annual competition to highlight outstanding package design work from designers across the country.
Package design refers to the creation of the exterior of any type of retail consumer product. This includes the color, font and graphics as well as the type of material used and the shape of the container. “The GDUSA competition is significant because it represents the absolute best student work in package design,” explained Professor Wei Wang, graphic design program chair. “Students from many top design schools in the nation entered their work, and only the very best can receive awards. I’m certainly proud of what our students have accomplished.”
