In his new role, Bush will be responsible for the program leadership, curriculum review and academic standards and will assist with student recruitment.

“It an honor to serve the program and our students in this capacity,” Bush said. “There is a long line of wise, forward-thinking program chairs, and I strive to build upon their legacy. We are entering an inflection point both with our school and our discipline, and I am excited to contribute my unique voice and perspective as we move forward.”

An Auburn alumnus, he holds both a Bachelor of Industrial Design and a Master of Industrial Design from SIGD. He taught at the Savannah College of Art and Design and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette before joining the Industrial Design faculty in 2017.

“Like all good designers, we plan to prototype new approaches to address both current and emerging challenges. As Sir Ken Robinson said, ‘If you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original,’” Bush continued.I’m truly surrounded by a phenomenal team of faculty, staff, advisors and administrators, and I couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity.”
