Alabama Workshop[s] Toolkit
The Alabama Workshop[s] Toolkit is a graphic guide created for artisans and workshop participants that provides insight into how contemporary craft artisans in Alabama conduct workshops. Located in rural and urban communities, the network of workshops promote cultural craft heritage, innovative cottage industries, and exemplary handmade works. The featured artisans represented here are regionally and nationally recognized. They work with a range of materials such as textiles, stone, metal, glass, clay, and found objects. Alabama-based stone craftsman, Brooks Barrow, provides a foreword about the value of the workshops and a resource library in the back of the book provide templates for various waivers and forms for artisans to use in their own practice. Contributing photographers included, Jared Ragland, Marc Sandlin, Liesa Cole, Ashley Kickliter, and Elliot Knight.
