Pindyck Named AIAS Educator Award Winner

Assistant Professor of Architecture and Interior Architecture in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (APLA) Jennifer Pindyck, has been honored with an annual AIAS Educator Award from the national American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). This recognition honors individuals and/or groups for their exemplary work in areas such as leadership, collaboration, scholarship, and service. Students make nominations to the national AIAS Honors jury which then selects a faculty recipient based on outstanding contributions to the formal and informal education of architecture students.

“The AIAS gives students the ability to have a strong voice in their education, enabling them to take on different roles, engage with the community and build networks outside of their individual schools,” says Pindyck. “It’s important to understand that the study of architecture can lead to infinite pathways, and the AIAS is a window into these possibilities. This award means so much to me because it’s from the students. I’m completely blown away and humbled.”

The AIAS is pleased to add individuals like Professor Pindyck to the long list of exemplary members of the organization. The AIAS community joined in congratulating all honor award winners during a special Honor Awards ceremony at the virtual AIAS FORUM Denver | CONVERGE conference in January. Congratulations, Jennifer – Auburn University AIAS students are lucky to have you!
