Tom S. Chung, FAIA, is a Professor of Practice in the Auburn University School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture and Principal with Leers Weinzapfel Associates in Boston, Massachusetts.
A national leader in Mass Timber, he led the timber design for John W. Olver Design Building at UMass Amherst and Adohi Hall at University of Arkansas, recipients of the National AIA Honor Award and Housing Award, respectively. His architecture is welcoming, transparent and sustainable, reflecting the values of diversity, democracy and care for our environment.
Chung served on the Board of WoodWorks and currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board at the University of Virginia’s School of Architecture, his alma mater.
