Professional Engineer (PE)

Professor April E. Simons joined the faculty in 2016. Prof. Simons teaches the Structures series (Structures I and II) for both Building Science and Architecture students. Additionally, she teaches an elective course titled “Special Problems in Construction: Tiny Homes,” which is a multidisciplinary course open to students across campus. She also serves as faculty advisor to the Alabama Rural Ministry (ARM) student chapter and co-faculty advisor to the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) student chapter.
