This event will feature Distinguished Lecturer Tom Kundig\, Principal\, Owner & Founder of Olson Kundig. \nThis event will honor the legacy of Robert L. Faust\, Professor Emeritus of Architecture\, who passed away in November of 2020. Faust taught in APLA from 1968 until his retirement in 2012 while also maintaining his own design practice. The Bob & Sherry Faust Distinguished Lecture is made possible through the generosity and support of Professor Faust’s wife Sherry. \nThe event will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a reception to follow and will be livestreamed on YouTube by the College of Architecture\, Design and Construction.

This event will feature speakers Hans Butzer\, Stephanie Pilat and Christian Dagg. Butzer and Pilat are on the faculty at the Gibbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma\, Bob Faust’s alma mater\, where Butzer is dean and Pilat is director of the Architecture program. DESCRIPTION:‘Res Publica – Contextual Architecture as Public Affair’\n  \nAs a participant in the 2019 fall lecture series\, Professor Göritz will present ‘Res Publica – Contextual Architecture as Public Affair’ at 3:30\, October 21 in B6\, Dudley Hall. \nHansjörg Göritz\, AKN\, FL\, BDA aoM\, DWB\, Intl Assoc AIA\, AFAAR\, is a German-American design and architecture practitioner. He has published\, taught\, lectured\, critiqued and exhibited widely in numerous professional and academic arenas. Some of which include Mendrisio\, Trondheim\, Berlin\, Hamburg\, Stuttgart\, Zurich\, Yale\, Weimar\, and Venice. Along with operating his Berlin studio Hansjörg Göritz is a professor at the University of Tennessee. He is also a recipient of numerous prestigious awards such as the international Brick ’10 award\, and was recognized as Affiliated Fellow at the American Academy in Rome 2013.
