Industrial Design Alum is IDSA 2015 Educator of the Year

The Industrial Designers Society of America named Owen Foster, a 2005 graduate of Auburn’s Master of Industrial Design Program, its 2015 IDSA Educator of Year. Foster, who is chair of industrial design at the Savannah College of Art and Design, received this prestigious recognition at the IDSA’s 50th International Conference in Seattle, WA, August 2015.

The IDSA’s Educator of Year Award recognizes “significant and distinguished contributions of faculty who have made the choice to dedicate their careers primarily to the field of industrial design education of the next generation of designer. It is presented annually to the IDSA member who has “earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and students for his/her teaching of industrial design and maintained unwavering commitment to the values and principles of the industrial design profession.”
