Phygital Wear & Tear
This fellowship transforms Auburn University’s Dudley Hall into a diagnostic body that stages its own collapse. Rather than preserving the building, the project uses projection mapping, thermal responses and glitch animations to express architectural deterioration as a communicative act. Environmental decay is not concealed but broadcast—allowing entropy to become a design language. Through this speculative lens, the project explores how buildings can reveal latent conditions and ghosted futures by glitching, failing and performing their own symptoms. Ultimately, this work seeks to merge design speculation with material response to reframe failure not as loss, but as narrative and atmospheric revelation.
