Finkel’s Identity Project Selected for Publication in Two National Competitions
Robert Finkel’s restaurant identity project, ¡CHIWAWA!, has been chosen for publication in two national design competitions. Finkel, an assistant professor of graphic design in the School of Industrial + Graphic Design, created the bold logo for the Memphis, TN-based restaurant that serves an eclectic, gourmet mashup of Southern and Mexican cuisines. His ¡CHIWAWA! branding project was chosen as one of 345 award-winning designs in the highly selective 2013 Regional Design Annual competition sponsored by Print Magazine and also was selected from 35,000 logos by a panel of international judges for inclusion in forthcoming book, Logo Lounge Volume 8.
