SUMMARY:Gulf Adaptation Design Symposium 2024
DESCRIPTION:How should we design infrastructure systems differently when we are faced with complexity and uncertainty? How can we understand the stories of people and communities on the front lines of a rapidly changing coast? What does it look like when design\, engineering and other disciplines collaborate to design for climate adaptation? \nJoin Alysha Helmrich (University of Georgia)\, Halle Parker (NPR New Orleans) and John Kleinschmidt (Waggonner & Ball) for presentations and a discussion that will cover questions like these\, as part of a year-long interdisciplinary project funded by the Gulf Research Program. \nAll APLA students and faculty are welcome.
