Nathaniel Walker presents final lecture in APLA Spring 2017 Series on April 3

Nathaniel R. Walker will present the final lecture in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architectures Spring 2017 lecture series, “UNFOLDING NARRATIVES: vision | contingency | legacy,” on Monday, April 3 at 3:30 pm, in Dudley auditorium B6. Walker, an Assistant Professor of Architectural History at the College of Charleston, specializes in the history of utopian cities and public space such as squares and streets in the United States and Europe. His lecture, “The Parade of Progress: General Motors” Midcentury Campaign to Eliminate Walkable Communities in North America,” is free and open to the public. The APLA lecture series is supported by practicing architects, planners and landscape architects in the State of Alabama.

 

Events are held in Dudley Hall, Dudley Commons Parker Auditorium, B6 and are free and open to the public.
