Amy Dye-Reeves

The College of Architecture, Design and Construction (CADC) is pleased to announce the hiring of Amy Dye-Reeves as Head of the Library of Architecture, Design and Construction (LADC) in the Auburn University Libraries. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history from East Tennessee State University and a Master of Science in Information Science from the University of Tennessee.

Dye-Reeves has spent the last four years at Texas Tech University, where she was Associate Education and History Librarian in the Research, Instruction and Outreach Department. She has also worked as an Assistant Professor and Humanities Research and Instruction Librarian in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts at Murray State University in Kentucky.

Her research interests include instructional design, outreach and engagement and virtual learning, and she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of College and Research Libraries.

In her new role in CADC, she supports the research and teaching needs of CADC faculty and students and develops and manages the collections, programs, spaces and services of the Library of Architecture, Design and Construction. Dye-Reeves says it has been her dream to become the head of an academic library, so this position was one she couldn’t pass up. “I am excited and thankful for the opportunity to serve as Head of the LADC,” she stated. “Auburn University holds outstanding traditions and academic success in all areas, especially the CADC. I want to be part of the university to engage with student and faculty success.”
