The College of Architecture, Design and Construction (CADC) is excited to introduce Christopher Griffin in his new role as Director of Philanthropy. Griffin has been working in CADC’s Office of Advancement for the past five years and succeeds Melissa Foster Denney, who recently retired.

Griffin began working as an Advancement Associate in 2018 and was promoted to Advancement Officer in 2020. He has spent the last several years focusing on major giving projects, including professorships, scholarships, endowments and capital projects.

Griffin, who holds a bachelor of business administration from Troy University, is excited to continue working with CADC alumni and friends. “I am thrilled to be able to continue to serve the college in this new role,” he stated. “The CADC has had a profound impact on my life, and having the opportunity to serve our donors, alumni and dean as Director is a privilege. Our advancement team is poised to continue the good work that was done under Melissa’s leadership.”

“Christopher has been an important and highly effective member of our advancement team since 2018, and he comes to the job extremely well-prepared, with a passion for all things CADC,” stated Acting Dean Karen Rogers. “We are proud to have him on our leadership team for what will be an extremely exciting stage of growth and development in the college. Congratulations, Chris, and welcome to your new role!”
