BSCI Alumni Named to Auburn’s “20 Under 40”

Two alumni of Auburn’s McWhorter School of Building Science (BSCI) have been named to the Auburn Alumni Association’s “20 Under 40” Class of 2024.

“20 Under 40” recognizes those individuals who have significant professional accomplishments in their fields or industries and have made contributions to the Auburn campus community.

Hunter Whitten ’17 is a project manager for the Nashville-based Turner Construction Company, as well as chair of the board of directors of Rebuilding Together Nashville. A native of Hackleburg, Ala., Whitten has served in many roles at Turner, constructing more than 1.2 million square feet of space in multi-family, healthcare and office space totaling more than $300 million in revenue. He is currently the project manager for a $120M, 30-story high-rise being constructed in downtown Nashville. A member of the ACE Mentorship Nashville Board of Directors, he assisted in providing nearly $100,000 in scholarships to local high school students.

Nick Wilson ’12, graduate of both Building Science and the Harbert College of Business’s Finance program, is vice president and division manager at Brasfield & Gorrie, using years of hands-on construction experience to manage client relationships and services. Focused on creating long-term partnerships as well as quality structures, Wilson has become a trusted resource for planning and building new projects. He is currently involved in the construction of multimillion-dollar projects like the Databank ATL4 Data Center in Atlanta and Wellstar Paulding Medical Center in Hiram, Ga.
