Architecture Lecture Series Poster Wins Graphic Design USA Inhouse Design Award
CADC’s own Marcelo Blanco has won a Graphic Design USA American Inhouse Design Award for the poster that he created for The School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture’s 2016–17 lecture series “Unfolding Narratives: vision|contingency|legacy.” GDUSA’s Inhouse Design Awards recognize the talent and value of inhouse designers as well as the special challenges they face. Out of more than 5,000 entries submitted, only a highly selective 15 percent were recognized with a Certificate of Excellence. This is not Blanco’s first recognition by GDUSA. He was named a GDUSA Student to Watch in 2015 from the Auburn Graphic Design Program in the School of Industrial + Graphic Design. The APLA 2016–17 lecture series was organized by Il Kim, PhD, assistant professor in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture.
