APLA Fall Lecture Series Welcomes Michael Murphy
“The School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture Fall 2013 Lecture Series, “Renegades + Outlaws: Design Thinking at the Edge,” continues Monday, October 7, with a free, public lecture by Michael Murphy, co-founder and CEO of the Boston-based, non-profit architecture firm MASS Design Group. MASS Design Group combines innovative and appropriate design with immersive research and uses the design process to capitalize on local educational opportunities to generate systemic change, break the cycle of poverty, and ultimately create building that heal. Murphy's lecture, “Buildings that Heal,” will be in B6 auditorium in Dudley Commons at 3:30 p.m. The APLA lecture series is supported by practicing architects, planners and landscape architects in the State of Alabama.
