AIAS Pumpkin Carve Wins Auburn’s Best Student Organization Event

Pumpkin Carve 2024

The Auburn University chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) has been recognized in Auburn’s 2026 Involvement Awards.

AIAS Auburn, which is run by students in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (APLA), received the Fall 2025 Exceptional Event Award for its 37th annual Pumpkin Carve, which took place on Halloween. The award honors a student organization that elevates campus life through a thoughtfully planned, innovative and impactful event—criteria that Pumpkin Carve has met for nearly four decades.

Held each fall, Pumpkin Carve brings together students, faculty and the broader Auburn community for an evening of creativity, collaboration and tradition. The event transforms a simple activity into an immersive experience, encouraging participants to engage with design in a fun, hands-on way while fostering connections across disciplines.

“This award honors the countless AIAS members across 37 years that have worked hard to shape Pumpkin Carve into the incredible tradition that it is today,” said chapter president Maddie Brockman. “AIAS Auburn is extremely grateful for the dedication of these members throughout the years, as well as the support it receives from the faculty and staff of APLA that make this event the best it can be each year.”

Blending creativity with community engagement, AIAS Auburn continues to fulfill its mission while enriching the student experience—one pumpkin at a time.
