Graphic Design Student to Serve as CADC’s Fall Commencement Marshal

Erin Ann Lyons of Auburn, Alabama, has been selected as the student marshal for the College of Architecture, Design and Construction (CADC) at Auburn University’s fall 2023 commencement ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, December 9.

Lyons will receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. As an Auburn student, she was a member of Gamma Beta Phi and Tau Sigma Delta Honor Societies. She was the lead student assistant at CADC’s Library of Architecture, Design and Construction for most of her college career.

Lyons is considering multiple job offers but hopes that her future career plans will involve the theater and entertainment industry. She says that she is looking forward to working in a career that perfectly balances creativity and professionalism but that she will always be a proud alumna. “I chose to study graphic design because it is an art form that is not always recognized as art,” she stated. “Graphic design serves a function daily, whether you pay attention to it or not. I feel proud to be an Auburn Tiger like so many in my family who have graduated before me. I wouldn’t change anything about my time here.”
