APLA Spring 2018 Lecture Series | in between | Jean-François Lejeune

The first lecture in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture spring 2018 lecture series | in between |is on Monday, February 12. Jean-François Lejeune, Professor of Architecture, Urban Design, and History in the University of Miami School of Architecture, will present “Rural Utopia and Modernity in Franco”s Spain (1935-1975)” at 3:30 p.m. in Dudley B6 auditorium. A Belgian-born architect, Lejune”s research has also focused on Latin America and Miami. He is the author of several books and is currently working on two monographs: Loos and Schinkel: The Metropolis between the Individual and the Collective (Routledge) and The Modern Village: Rural Utopia and Modernity in Franco”s Spain (DOM, Berlin). The APLA lecture series is supported by practicing architects, planners and landscape architects in the State of Alabama.
