30th Annual AIAS Pumpkin Carve

October 26, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

The Auburn University Chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) is excited to have hosted its 30th annual Pumpkin Carve. Pumpkin Carve began as a studio project and has now turned into one of the most celebrated events within the School of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture here at Auburn University. The event is one of the largest fundraisers of the year and allows AIAS to provide other activities for the architecture students and community.

On the day of the event, the AIAS invites all students within the University as well as alumni and community members of all ages to gather in the courtyard of Dudley Hall to carve pumpkins. Judges, invited from the local community and the college, select the best pumpkins and award prizes donated from local businesses. Pumpkin Carve is a much anticipated event and is enjoyed by the students, faculty, and community. This year, Pumpkin Carve was held on Friday, October 26, 2018.

The general schedule included carving beginning at 9:00am followed by lunch, lighting, a silent auction and raffle, and closing auction of pumpkins.  The event concluded at 9:00pm.

All were invited to participate in the costume contest with a judging at 7:00pm.  Aubie was spotted throughout the day and even participated in the carving, himself.

Despite the rainy weather, the 30th Annual Pumpkin Carve was a success!  Thank you to all who participated.
