The Jay Sanders Film Festival is an annual event where student filmmakers create and submit their work to the Movie Gallery Student Video Competition. The event is now in its 8th year however this is the first year that the College of Liberal Arts’ Department of Journalism and Communication has worked with the Graphic Design Program to design the festival poster.

This year’s design by Wesley Morris was selected out of 30 student submissions from two sections of sophomore level design classes. In addition, Wesley will be designing a program for the event that takes place in April 2008.

InterfaceFLOR is working with Professor Sheri Schumacher’s third year architecture class to design a new showroom for their La Grange, GA headquarters. The architecture/interior architecture students are working to create the showroom out of an existing warehouse space while implementing the philosophy of Interface to be fully sustainable by the year 2020. Graphic design student, Holly Cook, is working with Professor Kelly Bryant and the architecture class to create a book which will document the entire design process of the showroom including studio time, professional presentations and the final build of the Interface showroom in 2008.
