Chris's professional experience comes from healthcare and corporate architecture, and product design industries. In addition he is principle of DesignForesight, a consulting firm that he established in 2002. 

Previous teaching experience includes course design and implementation responsibilities within large corporate training programs as well as with the Master of Science in Architecture at Mississippi State University. Professor Arnold currently teaches the 'foundations' design studios and lectures at both the undergraduate and graduate program levels.

Interest areas in research and practice include:

  • the integration of 'design-thinking' in K-12 education,
  • people-centered research and design for human-service-systems,
  • environments and systems enhancing health care delivery and outcomes,
  • design for experience within the built environment, and design for social impact.
