Scholarships

CADC Students are considered for scholarships based on their AUSOM application and supplemental CADC application within AUSOM. To ensure maximum consideration, it is imperative that students submit their AUSOM application by the appropriate deadline. December 1 is the scholarship application deadline and recommended financial aid deadline for incoming freshmen. February 1 is the scholarship application deadline for incoming transfer students and current students. February 1 is also the Financial Aid priority deadline.  All CADC Scholarships will be awarded in March annually. Students selected to receive an award will be notified by award letter to their permanent address or by email to their TigerMail account. * Students must complete the scholarship application through AUSOM by 4:45 p.m. CST on the day of the deadline to receive consideration for scholarships.  For questions regarding scholarship application requirements and deadlines visit the University Scholarship website.

The School of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture has over $100,000 in annual scholarship awards designed to recognize and support outstanding students based on their performance in our professional programs. These scholarships are awarded by faculty committees representing their respective programs, based on the award criteria established by the scholarship donor/sponsor.

The AUSOM application is used to award all departmental scholarships. Approximately $120,000 is given to students each year. Qualifications vary for each scholarship and may include grades, financial need, and certain residency requirements.

A Message for Incoming Freshmen:

The McWhorter School of Building Science has two annual scholarship opportunities for in-coming freshmen. To be considered for scholarships within the McWhorter School of Building Science, incoming freshmen must submit the AUSOM application by 4:45 pm CST on the day of the deadline. The criteria for selection is a combination of the state of residency, high school GPA, ACT/SAT test scores, and financial need. The students chosen for the award will receive a formal congratulatory letter from the school head outlining the terms of his/her award.

FAFSA

It is important that students have filled out a Free Application for Financial Aid, called a FAFSA. The FAFSA may be filled out online. The FAFSA should be on file with the Auburn University Student Financial Aid Office. When filling out the FAFSA, students should submit the code for Auburn University in order to send the information to Auburn. Most McWhorter School of Building Science scholarships stipulate that a FAFSA form be on file with Auburn University. Even if a student does not qualify for financial aid, she/he might still be eligible for a School scholarship if a FAFSA is on file. Please check the their site for FAFSA deadlines
