Auburn Graphic Design Program and Students Recognized by Graphic Design USA

For the fourth consecutive year, the Graphic Design program in the School of Industrial + Graphic Design has been included in the “Graphic Design USA 2017 Top Design Schools.” Auburn’s Graphic Design program joins 41 others that “excel in preparing students to work successfully and effectively in a professional graphic design setting.”

GDUSA highlights the strengths that led to Auburn Graphic Design’s inclusion in this prestigious list: “Students receive hands-on design instruction in a professional studio environment with a strong sense of community among students and faculty…. Students build a strong portfolio of work as a result of the overall experience and education.”

GDUSA compiles this annual list of institutions because “design education is more important than ever as the lines between studio and classroom, office and academy, university and society, continue to blue. And as designers play an increasingly influential role in shaping commerce and culture.” For more, click here.

Two recent graduates of the Graphic Design program, Emily Prestridge and Kathryn Stalnaker, also were included in the annual “GDUSA Students to Watch in 2017.” This is the third consecutive year that Auburn’s Graphic Design students have been recognized by Graphic Design USA in their annual “Students to Watch.”
