J. Mark Taylor is on the faculty of the McWhorter School of Building Science at Auburn University teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of construction law and contracting business. Previously Mark has taught in the areas of construction estimating and scheduling, project management, project delivery, design-build and LEED certification. He has been active in the field of construction and construction education for more than 40 years. Dr. Taylor has previously served on the faculties of the University of Denver, Auburn University, Clemson University and Texas A&M University. He has been active in the Associated Schools of Construction; has experience in residential and commercial construction; having worked in estimating, scheduling and project management; has performed claims analyses; has served as an arbitrator for construction disputes; and has served as an instructor for more than 30 short courses and written instructional manuals for the training of project managers, superintendents and masons. His educational achievements include a B.B.C. from Auburn University, a M.B.C. from the University of Florida, a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from the University of Alabama.
