Kelly Bryant has worked professionally as a designer/art director for over 25 years in the areas of publication, book, identity and logo design and has taught over 20 years. In addition, she works as a freelance illustrator and painter in the mediums of watercolor and acrylic. She has received awards in the areas of poster, identity and book design and her work has been published in several books and annuals. Her work has also been exhibited in Savannah, GA; Seattle, WA; Phoenix, AZ; and San Diego, CA where she received Awards of Excellence from the University and College Designers Association.
In 2004 Professor Bryant was awarded the Silver Medal Award in Art Education from the Auburn Chapter of Tau Sigma Delta. In 2008, she was awarded the Auburn University Alumni Undergraduate Teaching Award and the Industrial + Graphic Design Department's Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award. Professor Bryant also oversees the Graphic Design internship program. Although internship is not a requirement of the Graphic Design degree, it is strongly encouraged. Many of our majors have been placed internationally, nationally and regionally. Some of our more competitive internships have included VEER (Calgary, Canada), Rolling Stone magazine, the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, the MOMA, Pentagram (all in NYC), Gallagher and Associates in Washington, DC among many others in the Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL areas.
