College of Architecture, Design and Construction Dean's Club

WHAT IS THE DEAN’S CLUB?

The Dean’s Club is a unique group of individuals who believe in the mission of the College of Architecture, Design and Construction (CADC). Dean’s Club membership is limited to people who are leaders in their profession and who are willing to provide guidance, advice and financial support to the CADC.

Private financial support is critical to our success and is now a large component of higher education. Dean’s Club funds provide the necessary operational budget required for the development effort.

HOW WILL DEAN’S CLUB FUNDS BE USED?

Funds raised for Dean’s Club provide seed money to raise additional resources for the CADC. Costs associated with the activities incurred through the development process will be offset by Dean’s Club funds. These costs include: travel expenses to visit with prospective donors, solicitation and stewardship costs, funding for alumni receptions, postage and printing costs associated with development activities.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO JOIN THE DEAN’S CLUB?

A willingness to be a spokesperson for CADC, to share one’s personal vision and expertise with the College and a commitment to a five-year, $1,000 annual contribution to the CADC Dean’s Club fund.

WHAT IS MY ROLE AS A DEAN’S CLUB MEMBER?

Throughout the year, members may be asked to identify speakers for educational classes or meetings, make introductions with appropriate persons at foundations or other funding sources, and identify potential members for the Dean’s Club or other possible donors to the College of Architecture, Design and Construction. Members and spouses will be invited to attend an annual fall Dean’s Club meeting at which time members will be provided with information regarding new and ongoing activities at the College of Architecture, Design and Construction. This meeting will provide members with an opportunity to share ideas, to network and socialize with other supporters of the College, and to be recognized for their generous commitment.

Associate Dean’s Club Membership

Young Graduates, meaning any CADC graduate from the past ten years, are invited to join the Dean’s Club as an associate member. The Associate Dean’s Club members are invited to Dean’s Club events and mentored by current Dean’s Club members. This is an excellent networking opportunity for young graduates. Associate Dean’s Club members are asked to commit to a five-year, $500 annual contribution to the CADC Dean’s Club. Associate members can make the contribution by cash, check, credit card or over 12 months through an EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer). Associate members may also ask their employer to match their personal gift to reach the membership contribution level.

HOW DO I JOIN?

It is easy to join the Dean’s Club. Simply contact our Development Team at 334-844-1161 or cadc.development@auburn.edu.
